Google uses links to determine the popularity of a site. Links to a page otherwise known as inbound links are to be considered the most. Google looks at both the quantity as well as quality of of each link. A link which has great relevancy from a site with a high page rank is more attractive than a broader link.

Getting a long lasting top 10 Google ranking is what locking down is all about. The first thing to do is to see to it that the website is filled with good quality and pertinent material always. 6. Combine the first five steps
7. Use the first five six steps in different search engines.

It is a lot of work to be done. But it is only a part of it. Once you get the top listing, you must analyze each link and discard the poor quality sites. Now that’s a lot of work
